This interesting and beautiful story,within a few lines of its finish, waswritten by Miss H. Alfarata Chapman,Stenographer for many years in chargeof the catalogue department, Universityof the State of New York, New YorkState Library.

Miss Chapman and John W. Thompsonwere married by Rev. J. Hill Johnson,Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church,Catskill, N. Y., September 10, 1921.

Miss Helena R. Goines, a life-longfriend, was the Maid of Honor. WilliamA. Chapman, brother of the Bride, wasbest man. The other two friends presentwere Mrs. John Butler, Mother of theMaid of Honor and Mrs. Clarissa Mims.Mrs. H. Alfarata Chapman Thompsonwas a brilliant young woman, highly4educated, having graduated with honorsfrom the Albany High School and theAlbany Business College, and a giftedand graceful writer. Her demise whilevisiting her dearly beloved brother inCambridge, Mass., June 9, 1922, was asad and dreadful shock to her manyfriends all over the country. Manyof the most intimate friends appealed tome, her husband, to publish the story ofthe Utopia Dream, which so beautifullybrings the portrayal of the characters ofthose within the Resthaven with characteristicsweetness and grace.
