With Moss and size H hook ch 45, s c in2nd st from hook, * 1 d c in next st, 1s c in next st, repeat from * across chending with 1 d c in last ch, ch 1 toturn all rows. 2nd ROW: S c in d c, d c innext s c, repeat from beg across row, ch 1,turn. Repeat 2nd row for pattern untilsection measures 15 inches from beg, cutyarn. Work a 2nd section in same manner.
LINING: Cut 2 sections allowing about ½inch on all edges for seams. Seam 3sides, fill with shredded foam rubber. Sewopening closed.
FINISHING: Weave 3 sides of pillow tog,insert lining in pillow and sew openingclosed. With double strand of Cerise worka ch to fit all around pillow. Tack ch inplace having wrong side of ch to rightside.
FLOWERS: With Yellow “STAR” SIXSTRAND EMBROIDERY COTTON and No.7 hook ch 4, join to form a ring, work 8s c in ring, do not join or turn this orfollowing rounds. Place a marker at begof each round. 2nd ROUND: 2 s c in eachsc. 3rd ROUND: 1 s c in 1st sc, 2 s cin next sc, * 1 s c in next s c, 2 s c innext s c, repeat from * all around. NEXT4 ROUNDS: Working in back loop of sts1 s c in each s c, cut thread at end oflast round leaving a length long enoughto draw sts tog. Place over a 1 inch buttonmold,fasten securely. With Cerise anda darning needle, work into the 1st roundof free loops, insert needle down in anyloop (leave a 1 inch length at beg), * bringneedle up in next loop, leaving a 2inch length, insert needle down in nextloop, repeat from * until all free loops areused, cut yarn leaving a 1 inch length.Work 2 more flowers in same manner.Work a 4th flower in same manner buthave petal loops about 2½ inches long.Attach flowers in corner as illustrated.
