Sometimes the currency symbol l (for libra, pounds) was used insteadof £. This has been changed to l for clarity. For example, 50l isrepresented as 50l.
The first eighteen chapters of the original text had much more whitespace betweenparagraphs than the later chapters. This is reflected in the etext.
