No alterations have been made in this edition.It is true that three of the figures here studiedwere living when the book was written; buttheir genius had matured, their work was for themost part done. Nothing they could producewould seriously modify one’s conception ofthem as aboriginal personal forces, the outcomeof the past, the initiators of the future. Apartfrom this, it seems to me a mistake to manipulateor add to one’s own completed work.
