The orphanage dormitory was locked in the stillnessof slumber. Light from the full moon filteredthrough the large window which ran the entirelength of the boys sleeping quarters.
Twenty cots filled the dormitory, and all but oneheld its sleeper. Dark-haired Garry Coleman wasstanding beside his cot, quietly dressing. Every nowand then he would cast an anxious glance towardthe darkened door at the end of the dormitory.Above all, he must not disturb the charge-of-quarters,or all would be lost.
