Amid a multiplicity of professional duties I haveappropriated a few spare minutes to the preparationof this little work. It must, under such circumstances, have many literary imperfections, for whichI must crave the indulgence of the Profession. ButI trust it embodies some useful and original principlesand facts, that are, at least, entitled to a dispassionateconsideration. I take this opportunity ofthanking those Medical Gentlemen who so kindly, and so patiently watched several of the cases recordedin these pages.
